Spirituality/Eastern Philosophy

The Bhakti Sutras attributed to Narada is a collection of 84 aphoristic statements in Sanskrit, dating to the tenth to eleventh centuries in India, on the nature of love for Divinity, which the test describes at the highest, most exquisite form of love.

Translating, explaining and interpreting 21 of those statements, Bill Mahony brings these teachings into our contemporary world through his thoughtful and articulate extended reflections on the qualities of this love and on the contours of a life oriented toward strengthening, refining and elevating it.

Basing his reflections on the understanding that God is absolute Love, Mahony speaks of a divine Heart present in our own human sentiments and expressions of love in all its modes, directions and degrees of intensity. He offers us guidance into ways a Hearts-centered spiritual life can open them ever more fully the reality of Love itself.

Whether you are new to the contemplative study of yoga philosophy or have pursued this interest and undertaken this practice for some time, Bill warmly invites you to join him and others in these seminars, workshop and retreat settings, when all participants together explore and immerse themselves in ways of a life-affirming yogic life.

The prices listed below includes accomodations according to your choice, all meals from dinner on July 21 to lunch on July 27, all programs, kirtans, workshops.

Yoga

There will be yoga classes at several times during the day. These classes will be suitable to both  beginners and more advanced yogis and yoginis. The classes will be taught by Prema and Gabriel. Click HERE to see a partial sample class or Yin Yoga

Age

The So’Ham Retreat Centers age limit to participate is 18 years old. We do not have the facilites to accommodate younger children.

Schedule

The prices listed below includes accomodations according to your choice, all meals from dinner on July 21 to lunch on July 27, all programs, kirtans, workshops.

The kirtan retreat will follow a daily schedule of morning chai, morning meditation, yoga, breakfast, morning text chant, general assembly, workshops,  lunch, free time, afternoon yoga, dinner, evening kirtans.

Early Pricing is available until February 1, 2025.  Registration and down payment, $200,  needs to be received by us by February 1, 2025

The accommodation will be in:

A. Main Building – Single rooms inside main building, Bathrooms in building.  $1795 (no Early Bird pricing for single rooms). Note. We have 2 single rooms available.  If you register for Single Room and none is available you will be placed on a waiting list and will be notified at a later date if one becomes  available. If you want to ensure a space in the retreat we suggest registering for a double room and let us know if would like to be on a waiting list for the single room. B. Main Building – Double rooms, 2 beds.   Bathrooms in building. $1495 Early Bird pricing $1245

C. Main Building – Triple room 3 beds, large room. 1 room available.  Bathrooms in building. $1395  Early Bird pricing $1145

D. Small Barn – Double rooms, 2 beds. Bathrooms in building.   $1495   Early Bird pricing $1245 .  

E. Small Barn – Triple room , 2 beds on main level, 1bed in loft. Bathrooms in building.   $1395   Early Bird pricing $1145 . 

F. Cottage – Double rooms,  2 beds in each. Bathrooms a short walk away in Small Barn or Main Building. $1295  Early Bird pricing $1045 

All rooms are simple and clean. All linens and towels are included. If you plan to go swimming in your free time, please make sure to bring your own towel for that.

Pickup

We offer free pickup from Örebro Resecentrum (about an hour away from the retreat site). If you would like to be picked up from Arlanda Airport (a 3 hour drive from the retreat site), we charge $50. Or there are comfortable buses from Arlanda Airport to Örebro Resecentrum (where we'll pick you up)

 

Parking

I will be driving and need a parking spot at the retreat site.

 

Helping out

I would love to offer my help for one hour per day, pick one.

 

Food

All meals are vegetarian with vegan and gluten free options
